Accountability in communication

 Suppliers must communicate all the specifications and features of the product such as testing and certification details, environment withstand details – temperature, humidity, isolation in circuitry etc.  Products blindly imported into India may not meet the rigorous demands of Indian industrial conditions – temperatures above 50ºC, high humidity, voltage surges and spikes, power interruptions etc.  This is because foreign manufacturers design for conditions abroad

Transparency

Suppliers must be transparent in pricing – hidden costs can be in the form of poor design, quality, poor support which can result in consequential damage to the electrical installation etc.

Customer Education

Suppliers must educate industries about the benefits of monitoring power and energy with reliable and accurate instrumentation, benefits of Centralized Energy Monitoring etc.  Application data in terms of savings potential and established case studies must be provided in support of product claims.

R & D Support

The supplier must have access to adequate R&D support to constantly upgrade his products and technologies to meet changing customer needs.  He must also have the ability to take advantage of better technologies available globally to drive down cost and improve performance. R & D Support.
